You can't go wrong no matter what you order. The quiche is great, the sandwiches and salads enormous, and the desserts... OMG. Can't wait to try brunch one Sunday.
Easily the best lunch table in Arizona and beyond. Homemade, hand-made, high quality American cuisine. Every dish is meticulously prepared. The flavors are rich, real and satisfying. There is no hint of chemical mask, preservative or false "chain restaurant tang" in any item on the menu. Soups to warm you down to the bones in your toes, wherein every flavor note is genuine and good. The desserts are legendary, apple and cherry pies from your childhood dreams. As good as the food is, the wait staff and the Chef/Owner are even better. They are wonderful, warm people, who make the dining experience all the more satisfying by being really nice to everyone who dines there.
The BEST place in town to eat - trust me, the BEST!!
I've tried this cafe several times since the new ownership, and have to say I'm disappointed. The lentil soup was extremely salt, the quiche greasy, heavy and flavorless, and on a third trip, the sandwich was 'eh.' Don't recommend - not a friendly atmosphere, either - no greeting upon entering or leaving the place - all three visits, mind you.
