I liked this joint. The beer is prob the cheapest in town, $3.50 / pint! And it tastes good too. Carlos, the owner, must keep his taps clean. As opposed to Jeremiah's in the Best Western, not only is the beer 60% more expensive, but it tastes like crap. I had the same beer, Alaskan Black IPA, which was awesome at The Asylum, and 15 min later, at Jeremiah's the same tasted like really awful! At the Asylum, Carlos or his wife will get you food delivered from the Burger Queen, next door. I had wings and fries. Both were great. Their wings are dry but quite spicy!
Cruising Booze Hounds, listen up: If you want a beer in Ketchikan, hang a left off the dock and go through the tunnel. Less than a block further on the right is Asylum. $3.50 pints, and that's the "good stuff" from Alaskan Brewing Co. It's an easy 10-minute stumble back to the boat. You're welcome.
