Villaggio Ristorante

The worst customer service I have ever experienced, waiter/owner very rude and arrogant. Long story short four of us went for dinner, we placed our orders and I specifically asked for extra mushroom sauce, my dinner came with no extra sauce so I asked for it again, it eventually came 20 minutes after. Our waiter who first attended to us was not bad but he left for the night after our food came and our service was non existent after that. We waited ~45 minutes to get any service, no one came around to ask if everything was OK, etc. When the bill came we didn't feel they deserved a tip so we didn't. The so-called half-owner of the establishment (Tony) asked why we didn't leave a tip while he was ringing our credit cards through. We told him our reason, due to the poor service and how no one attended to our needs. He should have apologized and tried to make it better, but this is the kicker, he didn't apologize, he kept going on and on and on in front of other customers asking why we didn't leave a tip. He was whining like a little baby. You would think, especially with other customers around he would try to make things better, customers mean everything to a restaurant right? but he was arrogant and very cocky, This is the half-owner???? - we wont go back or recommend it. Mama and Papa must have turned over the business to this poor fellow, If they could see him now. Too bad......
We just went to Villaggio for Savour York Region special and were very pleased with that place. The atmosphere was really nice, perfect for a date or just fine dining with friends. Food was really good, like real Italian home made food. The service was great as well. For Italian food I would go there.
The food is glorious! We have dined here several times and everything we've tasted has been great, but especially the risotto dishes. The service is always excellent and the prices are quite reasonable, especially when compared to the other dining places in town.
not so good
