Bland venue, cheesy/mainstream music & the "try-hard" clientele are even worse, with lots of bad mutton unsuccessfully trying to look like fine lamb, even in the dim lighting! The staff (both door & bar) think that they are somehow better than mere hospitality employees & considering that we are living in a city with such a highly revered nightlife scene, in my opinion The Motel has to be the most over-rated venue in Melbourne. But it's typically the lesser known bars & 'clubs that one has to search a little for that are far more worth frequenting anyway - & those "hidden gems" are quite the polar opposite of such a commercial, unimaginative, mainstream "wannabe's paradise" dive like The Motel.
I never see a worst club like that, bad presentation, empty club, only old men and nasty waiters. I don't reconmend this club.
I was here for the Saturday's Don't tell party! It was awesome - the music, the drinks, everything. We were a big group with reservation and we were attended very fast. I want to try the Sunday's party but maybe next week :)
