I took my girlfriend there last night for our anniversary! Well big mistake. And i got the diner and show package, big mistake! Fair enough as i expected the food to be not that good but what i did not expect was the service to be so bad. There wad 2 waitresses one who sat us down(red head i think she was) she was nice and smiling, but the one who serviced us( brunette i believe) was socking and a b$&*#% !!! Treated us very bad dont think she knows anything about customer service. VERY DISAPPOINTING!!!
We had a fantastic night there and cannot recommend it enough. The 10 course tapas meal was brilliant, although one of the dishes was not my tastes (personally not a fan of tuna) but was great to be able to try so many things that I normally would not order. Good range of beers available including the Hawthorn brewery and 3 ravens ales. Service was the best I have seen in a long time; my beer would have hardly be empty and they would be asking if I would like another. We were kept informed about each course and they had in depth knowledge about each of the dishes, as well as all of the staff that we dealt with were genuine and great people. The show was amazing, with a brilliant female MC who had an incredible voice and knew how to keep an audience going. The burlesque girls were all lovely and very talented, but there is a lot more to the show than just burlesque. For the price, we had hours of entertainment and a really enjoyable night. Willl certainly be going again some day soon.
This was a voucher off Living Social for my daughters birthday. They have recently started doing kids cabaret shows. It was mayhem upon entry and no real designated place for the 8 of us to sit despite booking and reconfirming a month prior but we got a table anyway and squeezed on. Kids waited a while for lunch which was ok but very small portion (fish and chips with two finger size pieces fish). The website said parents had to stay on premises and that the cafe/bar was reasonably priced, so I ordered the cheapest bottle of sauv blanc (at a costly $40) and a caesar salad that I was told would have anchovies but it came out without them , the waitress saying they ran out (could he not have bolted to the shop and bought some?) and instead I had this simple crouton salad. There was a reason parents had to stay on premises- dining their was the moneymaker! for them ! If the kids wanted more soft drinks they were $5each for a 7oz glass-very pricey! We just had water -thankfully that was free. The website also states dress up to win prizes. My nine year old and all her friends did just that spending days organizing their outfits but toward the end of the session I inquired as to when they were offering prizes and the staff said they didn't have anything, so I pleaded for something as the girls were asking me...so i got a free sliver of lemon cake for my daughter with a candle which given it was her birthday, should have come anyway(again- a quick trip to the 7/11 could have bought something child orientated). The man running the till tried to be accomodating but he could have also done with a spruce up, having big yellow stains on his shirt underarms. After the kids show the performers dissapear with the promise they will come back and start a disco with the kids -it took a while before two of the performers came out and started dancing with the kids who were still there-many had gone..Finally, bar stools are a necessity if you advertise you have a bar. I wont say it was a bad experience as the girls liked it but perhaps not enough to go back again any time soon. A great concept but lot more refining needs doing in all departments.
