The nicest people, fun and yummy hotel in Melbourne!!! Would highly recommend!!!
Stayed here over the weekend in the newly renovated hotel. The staff are absolutely lovely and the rooms are very modern with a great bathroom. Very central location on Flinders Lane and right opposite the best restaurant in Melbourne, Super Normal. They also have a great rooftop pool which is perfect for laps.
A recently renovated and perfectly located design hotel next to one of Melbourne's most famous laneways - Hosier Lane. Fantastic service before, during and after your stay. I think a lot of the 2/5 star reviews were written pre-renovation (Jan 2014).
Adelphi Hotel offered friendly hospitality and a quality accommodation for an enjoyable stay. The hotel is in the heart of the city and is only a short walk from the main tourist attractions in which Melbourne have. As they had refurbished the whole hotel, the interior design was outstanding!!! Very modern but quirky and different. The Dessert Bar was truly impeccable, with such great textures of all the dishes. I will soon be visiting them again!
Beware - Adelphi do not tell you that they charge you for the water next to your bed. It appears to be complimentary but it is charged for like a wounded bull at $4.50 per water. The price tag is hidden on the decorative tag on the bottle which makes the price tag look like a logo. You'll find this on your account a few days after you check out. You will also find that it takes forever to get your credit card reimbursed and then the managerial staff are very rude and surly when you try to get YOUR money back!! Facilities are run down,, noisy, no view. We will NEVER stay there again because EVERYTHING is charged for even when it appears to be complimentary. The heated pool is anything but. Try anywhere else except here, its very low standard for a 4 1/2 star - it should be 2 star.
