Seated promptly and ordering soon after but downhill from then. Very slow serving. Garlic bread arrived after 45 mins! and that was just after having to ask where it is. Other diners at their tables looking around for any meals coming out - not a good sign. One couple walked out another cple on their way out then told their mains was being plated up. Our mains arrived 50 mins after entree upon asking again and just being told "sorry its been busy". Meals were actually pretty good. Friendly staff trying to cope, maybe just a bad night in the kitchen.
A crazy good name that's worth checking out. A varied menu with selections like "yobbo", "Mexican bum burner" and "meat" pizza. Or for something truly Australian you can try the "Coat of Arms", which contains roo and emu. I devoured a collection of three curries with basmati rice, poppadom and raita. They were thick, tender and perfectly cooked and wouldn't feel out of place served from a Bombay street stall. Staff are friendly and attentive, so no issues with the service, and answered all of our many inquiries. Free wifi is also on offer and great for when you're travelling.
Had a really enjoyable meal at The Fat Seagull on the weekend. The food was reasonably priced and tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. We were able to split the bill and I was also happy to have no surcharge for using Amex.
Service was ok without being brilliant. Most meals were quite poor for the price. One of us ordered the Barramundi fish of the day special. Waitress said it was served with rice and vegies and was 'spicy'. We asked if they could remove the hot spices and the waitress said yes. The meal still came out extremely spicy and despite us expressing our disappointment we were still charged full ticket. Also, the fish was not fresh and had a rancid taste....most likely frozen for a while.
Dine in fish and chips was really good for the price and it was fresh hoki... The tim tam cake was really good. Service was excellent. Would recommend
