Rusty Water Brewery Restaurant & Bar

great place fantastic food a must
As a number of our group are real ale lovers, a brewery seemed the perfect place to reconvene after a lovely day on Phillip Island. We arrived for drinks at approximately 5pm, with no specific plans to stay here to eat. We did ask to see the menu, as we had yet to make any dinner plans. I personally never sat down here at all, as as I arrived I was greeted by the owner very tersely speaking with the children in our group (this small group incidentally were all over the age of 11, and are mostly teenagers). They had moved their chairs to an adjoining table so as to be together. The owner then turned to the adults in our group and told us we couldn't stay as he didn't have room for us for dinner (again we hadn't planned to eat here). He was so rude and dismissive in the way that he spoke with us that we all decided that we would not argue our point with him, but take our business elsewhere. We moved into Cowes and the establishment there went out of their way to accommodate us as a group. I will be giving them a review too. We are aware that we were a large group (8 adults and 8 children) and that it is a busy time of year. It was not the fact that we could not be accommodated here that was the issue at all; but the demeaning and arrogant way that we were spoken to!!
Good beer but as they don't brew on site they shouldn't call it a brewery.
The atmosphere was great and the food was 5-star quality.
Amazing food, services were great and the beers are top choice
