Mr B's
Reviews
I visited here after some food for a few refreshing drinks - and I was very happy with the venue! There are plenty of tables, and the bar is a very decent size. They offer loads of different beers on tap, and the staff are nice and fast. After a while, the music started getting louder and louder - which got a little annoying, but nothing particularly over the top. For a decent place to get a drink, Mr B's is certainly a go!
I can't understand why this pub seems empty all the time, its great. Heaps of space at the bar and its layout means no one has to climb over people to move. Friday night draws an interesting crowd, not all corporate which is good. This pub just is what it is and I like it.
This place is great for a few drinks after work with a nice atmosphere however the music can be a bit loud if you are there to chat with a few friends. There is an outdoor smoking area and pokies with complimentary drinks if you are playing. The food is alright, with a large selection of Thai dishes both spicy and sweet. You are looking at $15 to $20 for a standard dish. Definitely recommend giving it a try.
Not that great, there are better places in Sydney.
Thai food centre for all the Thai hospitality workers in the CBD. This place rocks for ambience and attitude, the restaurant pumps from early lunchtime until midnight for flavours only found in the thai home. Massaman Curry and others on special for lunch, the music here is lively and has live singers and dj's for a dance after dinner. A separate nightclub is downstairs, but there is no noise-spill from downstairs. Outside seating/smoking and now they have tables on the footpath for a quick lunch-stop. I return to this place at least once every two weeks and the consistancy is exceptional. The pub staff are ever help-full, happy and very courteous.
