Gday, Well my first visit 12 months or so ago was awesome...COLD Beer, great food....BUT with every following visit it just went shit...I can't imagine getting any closer to the bar than sitting at the bar and this is a test of nerve...waiting..waiting...and this is Saturday arvo when there is sweet F.A in the joint... Finally get served, and what a piss poor luke warm beer for $11.50 greets me...Order food...Just rewind for a tic , had the Hot Dog awhile back...YUM...last time YUK...so this time ordered Hot Hand Cut Chips...who can screw that up..???..$9.00 for a bowl of chips that were not cooked properly...$50 in your till Bavarian beer Cafe...you got me this time...never again...
Poor. Waited over an hour for food. Ended up leaving. Staff brought water to the table and then took half an hour to bring glasses. Avoid unless you like being disappointed.
Two words (Pork Knuckle) It is huge, tasty and filling! Dive in to this awesome meal and finish it off with a beer/cider! The prices are more on the expensive side however the quality of the food pays off in comparison. Staff are friendly, portions are huge and atmosphere is a real nice clean pub feel.
I always seem to have a good experience at the various Bavarian Bier Cafes around Sydney. I brought a friend of mine here not too long ago, and we both agreed the atmosphere and food were great! I find the food a little on the pricey side, however the servings are quite big, and always full of flavour. Beware: If you order shots, they will be brought out on a wooden plank, ringing a bell. I find the wait staff are always quite busy, and if you come during peak hours then you may have to wait a little while longer than usual. This is a great place for a casual dinner or a night out with friends. I have never had a bad experience here at all.
Great food, great service, excellent schnapps! Went there with work colleagues and I ordered the schnitzel burger. The chicken melts in your mouth and the chips were thick and crispy. The huge schnitzel they have is quite impressive, and you'll get a free schnapps if you manage to finish it! Will be going back again.
