Sow's Ear
Reviews
Very helpful staff in yarn department. Very patient with beginners. Warm, cozy place. Food and drinks good too!
We went in on a Sunday morning to grab a couple of to-go drinks. This process took over a half hour because the poor girl at the register appeared to have no idea what she was doing and repeatedly botched the orders of the people in front of us in line. On the upside, we ordered 2 twelve ounce almond milk mochas ($4.20 x 2 = $8.40), one with whip cream, one without and a day old morning bun ($1.50) and were charged $5.78....I'd like to think this was an intentional discount to compensate for the wait time, but I'm pretty sure it's just another example of ineptitude behind the register. On the downside, a quick stop turned into a bit of an ordeal and, of course, both mochas had whip despite "no whip" being clearly written on one cup. We'll probably give our business to Tuvalu in the future.
There is no other place like it. The atmosphere is inviting to everyone, whether your looking to have a great cup of coffee or learn about knitting, this is a place you need to visit....oh, and don't forget about the great food menu - you can get it to go also!
Really friendly people, warm and comfortable environment that is clean. Great tea selection too!!!
The Sow's Ear is a wonderful place to knit, to take a class or just to soak up yarn goodness. The staff is extremely helpful and accomodating, their yarn selection is excellent and the food and coffee is delicious. The classes are enlightening and convenient, as well. I have taken a finishing class, a dyeing class and a sock class there.
