Badger Bowl
Reviews
Wednesday night West Coast Swing dancing has peppy music and looks like it is really fun. I've got to get some lessons.
Place has changed a lot in two years.(not for good) Food is very expensive for what you get. It's cheaper to eat at Red Robin. Very shady crowds and unfriendly bartenders. It sucks, I used to love going to badgerbowl but the new management is kill the place. I would be surprised if BB makes it to 2015.
I like it better than other bowling alleys around Madison, because there aren't as many kids around, nor too many disrespectful or "lack-of-etiquette bowlers", and sometimes when I go, I get poor service from the bar.
They said they wont do any hip hop shows...i say...all hip hop fans in madison...lets boycott Badger Bowl
Looks like people have missed the point of "reviews"...thought I'd have a stab at it. Badger bowl has well-maintained lanes, with seating and scoring updated from the pre-electronic-bowling era. Their food is pretty standard bar-and-grill fare, but it's well made and not swimming in grease, which is a step up from some other establishments. One draw is that they have a pretty good rotation of live music throughout the week, which most places DON'T have. They also have karaoke, and a nice lodge-style room that can be rented out for parties, meetings and other special occasions. The staff is friendly and patient; they seem to have a good rapport with kids and special-needs folks. Overall, I'd say they have one of the better places to bowl in town (keeping in mind that they went non-smoking with the rest of Dane County last year), and worth driving a little out of your way to visit.
