The coffee is good. It's Alterra coffee for the most part and brewed well. The food is homemade, and outstanding. Highly recommend the fudge oat bar. I think the recipe originated on Neptune, then transported to one of Jupiter's moons at some point in the finite history of this galaxy, and somehow ended up on Earth. Needless to say, the Fudge Oat Bar is a life changing experience. As such, I recommend to be either sitting down or sky diving for your first bite. The staff/management is, as of today, excellent, down to every employee. It's impossible to walk into this place and not deal with truly very friendly people.
Hey...the Java Dock is where its at in Port Washington. Port, if you dont know it...is a hidden treasure on Lake Michigan...killer views of the Lake, a marina, public beaches, etc. The Dock, as its also known, is the laid back local shop with excellent joe...Alterra and Anodyne...bakery that kicks everyones whatever....and an extending menu of lunches...hand made soups, sandwiches...and panini. Live music twice a month on Fridays (usually), one of them an open mic...and a diverse and creative bunch of customers who frequent the Dock like a second home.....The staff rocks!
