My 11 year old daughter and I love visiting The Griffin Bookstore. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. There are books for all ages. They also sell a variety of gift options from jewelry, teapots, purses, journals, chap sticks etc Perfect place to enjoy a cup of coffee, (which is amazing) and relax. The owner Eileen is sweet and helpful. This is one of those places that is a little gem, not too many bookstores and coffee shops with this kind of collection, and energy. I know it sounds corny, but my daughter and I feel so happy and peaceful when we leave there, no matter what kind of mood we were in when we stepped inside. Adore the Griffin!
A great local business. Full service coffee bar, great and eclectic selection of books, live music and book signings. There is even an outdoor sitting area. Comfortable chairs inside too. A great spot to stop in when walking downtown Fredericksburg. The owner is super friendly and knows every title in her store. She ordered us 2 books she didn't have and mailed them to us when they arrived.
