This is a service-based review... We went to this cafe at 9:08pm on a Thursday because their website said they were open until 10pm. When we got there, a red sign glowed saying they were open, their door said 10pm, there were people inside and a lovely guitarist playing live music. My joy of coming in to a warm cafe from subzero temperatures to live music and the promise of warm food after a very long day was quickly crushed as a lady moping the floor said they were closed, the cook had shut down the kitchen. "Winter hours," she said. Closed at 9pm. We never got to try the food but we will not be going back.
I've been to Amy's countless times, and each experience has been wonderful. Recently, they've renovated the place and they did an incredible job. The food is great, the service is stellar, and we really enjoy being able to sit outside on the wonderful deck with our dog. Once we were even sitting under the covered side deck, enjoying some local beer, and a kind server turned the fan up and pointed it towards our pup so she could better enjoy the breeze. Thanks, and we will most definitely be back again and again!
I have never been to a place where EVERY time I went there, I left happier than when I arrived. My friend and I go there solely for Turner and his amazing, attentive, personable, and joyous personality. He is truly an amazing waiter and I wish there was more people like him in this business. We go there once a month and request him. (He was even on break one day and came off break early to wait on us). He not only remembers what we like to drink/eat/what goes on in our lives from the past visit, but takes the time to talk with us. He doesn’t do it because he "has" to, he does it because he enjoys it. Amy's Cafe has amazing food and will always make something or rearrange their dinner/lunch menu to accommodate what you like. I promise you, if you go to Amy's you'll leave full, happy, and wanting more!!
Had breakfast there today and it was excellent. Coffee was excellent as well.
Everytime I am in town I try and have breakfast here. I like there French toast and y wife love's there blueberry pancakes.
