The food is really good if I want something to eat I go to the blue colar home cooked everything my great grandmother owns the restaurant Everybody is nice there come on down to the blue Colar cafe

Great basic food

I ate there with my granddaughter in Oct of 2010. We both enjoyed it. Coming from the east on 58, it's on the left....look for the car place first or you'll miss it. The SPCA is across the street. Surroundings aren't the greatest, but it's reasonably clean or we wouldn't have eaten there. I had 2 eggs with cheese, apples (cooked from fresh apples), ham, jelly and a biscuit. My adult grandaughter had an omelet with the same sides. She had iced tea and I had coffee. Our bill was a little over $12. I'll be going back the next time I'm out that way to try the lunch menu. Prices are very reasonable and the food is good. The locals do eat there and we were treated with the same friendly greeting by the waitresses and the other diners as they gave the locals. I noticed the 2 cooks appeared to be husband and wife; they were laughing and talking with the waitresses when they weren't busy. This sounds as if it were a noisy place, but it wasn't; everyone was thoughtful and kept their conversations at a low pitch. Don't go there expecting an outstanding meal (no fancy lettuce and sliced strawberries fanned out), but for the price the food was outstanding and it's a wonderfully friendly place,

Great place to get moms home cooking. Open nice and early.

Get to the Blue Collar Cafe early on Saturdays if you have a hankering for a big country breakfast with all the fixings. It's packed by 9 am and there is usually a waiting line. You don't want to fight hungry fishermen and campers for a table. They can be dangerous.
