In March of 2014, my crew and I went to Buck's Grill house to have a wonderful meal after a day of brutal off road riding. We were exhausted, sore, hungry and twitching for a cold beer. We figured that Buck's would hit the spot. It did. The food was good and the beer was excellent. The thing is, it took a LONG time for us to 1) get helped and 2) get our food. I'm talkin' one+ hour, here. We were there far too long and from the look of things, I cannot put any blame on the servers/workers. It seems they were quit understaffed. That was my analysis. Still, someone could have come to our table and let us know what's going on. We did not appreciate just sitting there twiddling our thumbs. If I ever go back to Moab, which I probably will and if for some reason I end up at Buck's. I will give it a good second chance as the food was indeed good.
I've eaten at Buck's a few times and it's always a little bit of a disappointment. The service is slow and the hostesses never look happy to see anyone. The food is a bit overpriced though it is usually pretty decent. Not great, but decent. Their patio is nice, though, if it's not too hot out.
Went there for Thanksgiving dinner - AMAZing meal. Turkey cooked to perfection, wonderful cornbread and wild rice stuffing, delicious house-made bread, awesome desert, great atmosphere! Couldn't ask for anything better while in Moab.
I visit Moab 2-3 times/year & I've been to Buck's ~3-4 times. The first couple of times I was impressed with their menu offerings, the food & the servers. This last time, the day before Valentine's, was a terrible experience because of the lack of what was presented from their online menu. There was no Southwest menu (although it was on the online menu), the 5-6 pm dinner grill offerings were not available. The duck salad was inedible because the dressing was like watered down glue. The pear martinis tasted like straight vodka without any flavoring. The best part of the dinner was our waitress. She was wonderful & kept apologizing for the mishaps. It will be a long time before I return or recommend Buck's!
Perfect! All plates were excellent and the server was professional and nice. It is expensive but my husband and I were very happy to eat in this restaurant!
