The cupcakes taste like they come from a box, and the icing is waxy. None of the flavors really stand out, and the lemon meringue tastes exactly the same as the lemon blueberry--that is to say, like lemon cake out of the box and nothing else. Throwing some fruit in the icing isn't enough. The German chocolate was underwhelming and not enough coconut flavor stands out from the corn syrup in the frosting. The chocolate cupcake itself wasn't very chocolatey and didn't stand up to the name Death By Chocolate AT ALL, as the frosting was just as flavorless as the cake. Definitely NOT worth the price, and not good enough to be worth the calories, either. Decorations looked pretty, though, and the Italian Cream was decent--although it seemed just like a vanilla cupcake but with a couple of walnuts in it.
Fix it with frosting is the best bakery in midland! I love the cakes they make. They are truly a talented group of people , and their cakes and cupcakes that are beautiful. Love love love them.
I found out about this place when i went with my wife to her friends baby shower. They had done her cake and it was so amazing and all the women their raved about it! i thought this would be something perfect to get my wife for her birthday. I ordered a cake and left the creativity up to the girls their. I told them it was for my wife and it was her birthday. The cake looked super nice and when my wife got home she nearly screamed. it was a simple but fancy cake just like she talks about. This place does amazing work and if you want to "wow" your guests this is the place to go.
