We use to go to High Cotton quite often before today and now I think it will be awhile before we ever go back to that restaurant. Apparently there was a change in management that took place during the week. Me and my family went to High Cotton last week and the food was amazing then. I had their habenero burger and it was good. The food basically use to be really good. Couldn't say the same thing today. Today they had crossed out a lot of the items on the menu including the habenero burger and was very dissappointed. So I thought, "okay I will order something else." I ordered the double bollbuster burger and they had cut down on the patty sizes so much that the double was about the size of the habenero burger that I had last week and that burger was a single. It was also over cooked and bland. I did not even finish my meal and that is unheard of for me. We spoke to the owner about it and she said that she had been told by big guys in the past that the meat was too big. I don't buy that one bit. I would have given this place a one star if it weren't for the good service. I know that my family will not be back at High Cotton at least for awhile. I also know that if the owner doesn't change the way she does things then this place is going to close down.

Thought we would give High Cotton one more try...Big Mistake! Went there this afternoon (Saturday) to have lunch. Not many cars on the parking lot so we thought we should get right in...Wrong! After standing around waiting for no reason at all, someone finally seated us and took our drink order. That's it!!!! We waited and waited and waited...no one ever showed up with our drinks! We looked at the TWO other tables that had people seated at them and noticed that they had no drinks either! Hmmm, I guess the drink lady got lost! No one ever showed up as long as we sat there. Finally after about 10 or so minutes, we got up to leave. When we passed the register there was a group of employees standing around visiting-not a care in the world. We told them that we were not going to waste our day waiting for service and they looked at us like we were speaking a foreign language, and said nothing. We left, went down the street and ate chicken, which was delicious and the employees there were very friendly and courteous and acted as though they appreciated having a job!! Thank you Church's Fried Chicken! High Cotton, if you don't make some BIG changes, I hope you lose ALL your customers!!!

Food was great, but the customer service was horrible. The staff was a bunch of children who were more interested in socializing with each other than serving customers. I ordered surf & turf, and they completely forgot the surf. At one point they were standing around the bar yelling about how horrible a previous customer was, not realizing how unprofessional and hypocritical they were being. Despite the horrible service, I reluctantly left a gratuitous tip, but doubt I'll ever return.
