Great place to buy coffee and chocolates

My spouse and I first started shopping there in May 2006. We went in just for the chocolate covered coffee beans, but found SOOOO MUCH MORE!!! Whenever we had out of town visitors, we would take them there. Their gift certificates make nice gifts and their coffee selection and customer service are incredible. We left Lubbock in June 2008, and even though we've lived in 2 other states since moving, we still use Otto's coffee almost exclusively. We LOVE their products so much we continue to buy their coffees etc. through mail order. In fact, just writing this review inspired my spouse to make a pot of coffee using the coffee and grinder purchased through Otto's. Scott & his staff offer a personal touch. They learned our preferences and introduced us to new coffee varieties that have become our favorites. We've lived in larger towns and smaller towns and have never found anyplace like Otto's. If you like coffee or chocolate - try it and see if you agree.

Otto's is one of Lubbock's hidden gems. It's kind of hidden along the Marsha Sharp Freeway but is in a very convenient location for anyone downtown or by Tech. The store itself is a magnificent old granary that has been converted into a multi-floor boutique gift-shop. It really has a unique atmosphere and is so cozy and rustic at Christmas time. Otto's has everything from Godiva chocolates (pre-packaged and an enormous selection of individual pieces), Nehaus chocolates, an enormous selection of single-origin coffees, delicious mixed coffees and teas, and tons of unique gift items. The staff is always helpful and unobtrusive. They offer free samples of whatever different coffee and/or tea they have made for the day and are more then willinging to brew up a fresh pot if there is something you have to try before buying. They also have sample bags of all the bulk teas and coffees they carry which work great for trying new flavors or gifting. I highly recommend Otto's!

Otto's Granary is deceivingly small. Once inside I was overwhelmed by their selection of fine chocolates, coffee, and tea, among other things. On top of that, I had a wonderful shopping experience. I was given a cup of coffee and allowed to browse their huge selection. The staff was wonderful, very helpful, and attentive. What a great place to shop for gifts!
