In our opinion as locals it has went downhill over the past year. While the quality of the catfish is still good it has declined slightly. The portion size for the catfish is still pretty good, at 12.99 for regular portion. The ranch dressing is really watered down. The BBQ beef sandwich was still pretty good. I'm not a fan of the BBQ sauce though. We wanted FF with the BBQ sandwich but had to order them as a side and it was 2.50 extra for a measly 15 fries, horrible portion for the price. Service was below average and our wait time was over 45 min. The atmosphere was loud at times with staff yelling across the room. The fried shrimp platter is a horrible value at 6 pcs with fries and choice of coleslaw or salad for 13.00. As locals we used to love the place but the prices have gone up and the overall value has gone down. If we come back it will be for the catfish only.
I have been eating there since 1996. The food is good. Florida cooks for the employees as well. These are off menu items, usually fresh greens, other vegetables, and some cut of meat. Ask, and they will serve these as well as the menu items. Order your soft drink in a can, and it is much cheaper.
The best catfish I have ever had and everything from the hush puppies to their barbecue sauce was very tasty. Highly recommend this place to everyone!!!
Great price. Great food. Home-like atmosphere. Come hungry or be prepared to tote out some doggie bags!
Great down home cooking with a relaxed family atmosphere. It's not a city slicker place but its very clean and more importantly the food is fantastic. Give it a try you will not be disappointed.
