I wouldn't call it fast food. I've been here several times passing through and it's the slowest drive thru between Austin and Blanco. Horrible drive thru service, the attendant is never polite, the radio is apparently broken because you'll have to repeat your order several times. And to top things off, there's a yellow pole that clearly blocks your left turn around the building that you will most certainly hit unless you swing out wide, and then have to re- correct yourself as you're pulling up to the window. It's almost not even worth stopping you're better off going to the one in Blanco or anywhere else if you're traveling south 281.

While visiting Pedernales Falls state park on 10-4-2014 my son an I drove 12 miles to Johnson City for lunch. We got a hamburger and grilled cheese. The drive thru was quick. My eight year old son always wants a grilled cheese at Sonic. He told me that the DQ grilled cheese sandwich was better than his favorite. My burger was cooked just right with fresh lettuce and tomato an a good bun. We went back to the park and walked it off.

We waited in the drive thru line for over 20 minutes with no service. We finally drove off...ridiculous!!
