Cattlemen's Steak House
Reviews
Have been here once. Prices are high, food was not cooked to order...steaks were all well done and ordered medium rare. Waitstaff wasn't impressive. .. acted like we needed to hurry and get out so they could get on with their day. Would never go back.
Cattleman's.....been hearing that name all my life, so I went in for a go at the "legend". Went in at 2:30 pm on a Sunday, took a seat at the bar. Bartender was uninformed on the menu, but that's to be expected, still very friendly. I ordered a ribeye with baked potato and tortilla soup. Soup was desent, loved the potato and the little topping station they give you, the steak was just plain, cooked right, but plain. I would say under seasoned, but i think the seasoning level was what they normally do. Then I got the check, north of 40 dollars before tip. All in all, I was just underwelmed. Neither here nor there on Cattleman's, with exeption to one point. The cost will definately keep me away, especailly when Salt Grass or Texas Roadhouse can give me a superior product for half the cost. In conclusion Cattleman's is an old lion surviving on past glories, but with H3 Lonesome Dove and even Risky's Steakhouse breathing down your neck, it;s time to update or die.
Delicious steaks, and all around great place! It is pricey? Yes, but you definitely get what you pay for.
Loved it, Its cold in there maybe cause the lights are dim and there is no windows, but I asked them to turn it up and he did so quickly. The food was great and the eating atmosphere was also great because it was not over crowded. The staff was quick with the order and drinks and very friendly. The price was good too for being a Steak House. Will return next time. -Satisfied Customer
Had the Texas strip sirloin cooked by Lee. Best steak I've ever had.
