We had a party of six after a wineries tour and the place was jammed on Valentines night. They were able to seat us in about 20 minutes in the front room with the huge antique bar. Our waitress was superb; poised, funny and professional. AND she got all our orders correct! We were served in a timely manner but not rushed and the food was great. We will all be returning in the future to this well run, historic restaurant! !
My wife and I went to the restaurant a couple of days ago and the service was very poor. Took the waitress to long to wait on us. When we ordered our food, it took to long to get. All the vegs., were cold and the meat portion was just luke warm. The wait person did not come back one time to ask if we ne needed any thing else. We were seated in the front portion of the business, and most of the wait staff were in the larger room in the back. Before we left a couple at a table behind us had to get up and tell one of the floor mgr. that they had not been waited on after about 10 to 15 minutes. We will not go and spend moeny at this place again. It is also sad that is is the only big rest in Brenham.
Good and Plenty. Huge steak perfectly done, tender and tasty. Great service (Staci). Wonderful house salad. It will be fun to go back there again.
We had a party of nine in our group and the waiter was absolutely incompetent. First, we waited over ten minutes before he approached our table and then it took him another five minutes to just deliver water. It took another 10 minutes to receive our drink order and 15 more minutes before we got our appetizer. The waiter kept coming up to our table and leaving without taking our order as one in our group would speak to him, tell him what she wanted and he would rush off without asking the rest of us at the table for our drink/food order. He had served her drink and entrée before he even asked us for our drink order. The food was very disappointing. I do not recommend this restaurant mainly due to poor service. This was my second dining experience at this restaurant and the service was just as terrible at the first visit. I thought it might have been a bad night the first time, but this proves to me this restaurant is poorly managed. Will not return again.
