Walked in and everyone is standing around. Placed our order and two waitresses were on the other side of the fireplace obviously talking about ones breasts as there was a lot of pointing and holding. She walked by and told another couple we wouldn't understand because everyone there is like family. So I said something about the conversation. She sat down next to me and began going into detail about the other girl getting her nipple pierced, taking out the bar and rotating it. WAY TMI. My food came and the shrimp was very old tasting. I brought it to the waitresses attention and after confirming with the "chef" she that it was breaded on Friday. And this was Sunday! More of them standing around talking and even saying they ran for it when they saw a customer coming, even the hostess and thank goodness she was at the door to greet them. Then she said that I had to order something else because the shrimp could not be taken off my bill. I insisted that I would not order anything else and she said there was no one there to void it. Finally she found George who did so.
Love this place been going since I was a kid and it was allot closer to 730, staff is friendly, price is good, food is terrific. Looking for a nice Italian dinner but don't have much this is the place to go, I order one lasagna and there's enough for me and my girlfriend, tip for you order extra butter with your bread and dip it, it's too die for. happy eating
Italian owners-really? Wish I could post a pic of "capellini with broccoli"- mushy spaghetti noodles sitting in a solid half inch of oil and covered with waaay too much of that pre-chopped garlic in a jar. Answered waitress with polite honesty when she asked how food was and it still showed up on bill. :-/ Other dishes seemed to have way too much garlic and sauce and overpriced for quality. Bread was good?...
#1 They aren't Italian. Real Italian cooking is very different. Don't call for pick-up after 9pm because every bartender and attendee is drunk.
By far the BEST Italian restaurant around!! The food is beyond AMAZING, the service is GREAT, the prices are just RIGHT, and the atmosphere is WONDERFUL!! Definitely worth the time, and money!! :D
