If you've never been to Torchy's tacos, you're missing out. They have the best taco recipe in Austin and they have a drive thru. These tacos remind me of Austin with their uniqueness. My favorite is the brisket with avocado. I don't remember the name of it but i sure remember the taste. I highly recommend!
torchys will always taste delicious but i hate that we got kicked out and had to sit in the drive thru for 20 minutes because they now don't allow dogs. i really dislike that another group had been sitting enjoying their meal, almost finished, and we got approached first. smh
Tacos are great but this location had the worst drive thru wait. They should fix that or stop offering drive thru service. Not acceptable.
Everyone know's Torchy's is awesome, no need beat that into the ground. Fantastic tacos, Torchy's is a must-eat at least once a month. Only down side of this particular location is the neighboring day care center shares the parking lot with Torchy's and uses some very shady and dangerous tactics to keep Torchy's customers in line. They have some creeper guy sitting in the parking lot jumping out at Torchy's customers, harassing them, and making them pay on the spot to get out of being towed. People have seen arguments in the parking lot and people getting angry in front of the school. Its only a matter of time before it happens in front of a child. Worse yet, who has done a background check on the towing company or the guy lurking in the parking lot? The company is Big A Towing, and they are as shady as it gets. The owner of Big A Towing has a record of assault on someone trying to get their car. Third District Court of Texas, Austin, case number 3-92-073-CR, George N. Milhim was convicted of assault for attacking someone trying to get their car (public record). A school should know better than to use such a dangerous tactic. Sooner or later this is going to bite someone, let's hope its not a child. Torchy's is great, but their parking lot situation is going to seriously cause a problem. Drive through Torchy's, get tacos, and stay away from that parking lot.
The tacos were amazing, but the guac and queso were nothing special.
