We used to eat here more but it seems like every time I go in lately, the food is kinda sub par and very greasy. Its almost like they use too much butter or something. We still go for free pie wednesday though because I LOVE their carmel pie. Mmmm.
Called and placed a To Go order of a salad and tea. I thought the little girl who answered the phone was crazy when she told me that it would be ready in 20 minutes, but I showed up almost 15 minutes after placing the call thinking SURELY a salad and tea would come right out. When it was almost 25 minutes later, and I still didn't have my food and drink, I finally just left and went elsewhere.
Brought my wife here for a close to home casual dinner date. Just ok, not better or worse than I'd expect. The environment is crowded, with cheap furniture/decor. It seemed family friendly if kids are kept away from the bar. The table was dirty. It had been cleared off, but not wiped down. We found a piece of wrapper or something in the bread basket that they brought to the table. The bread really didn't look that appetizing anyway, so we didn't care. The server we had was nice. She made sure to keep our drinks full. She waiting for me to cut into my steak to be sure it was cooked how I wanted. However, one of my sides was brought to the table a minute or two after ordering our dinner, then my side was placed in front of my wife. It was a bit confusing. Our appetizer came to the table a good 15 minutes after that. The food really isn't that bad. The steak was cooked just right the first time, the appetizers were ok. I liked the pepper jack breaded cheese wedge thingies. My "loaded" baked potato ingredients were skimped on so it really wasn't loaded with anything. The "half" chicken salad and appetizer platter were both absolutely gigantic. We both agreed that we would have preferred lower prices and smaller portion sizes.
Took fifteen minutes to get greeted by our waiter. Once our water came it took twenty minutes for a straw which I had to ask for twice. The meal came out in a timely manner and was hot. The Fried Honey Chicken tasted like it had been fried with fish or fish oil. Our waiter never brought out my salad. Had to ask twice for a container to take the coleslaw home. Once home, we found plastic in the coleslaw.
We usually go and try to give them grace periods. We call ahead and order, we then go through and wait patiently. Not only are they bad about going through and NOT GIVING YOU EATING UTENSILS they forget half of what you tell them. I'm so mad because the soup itself (loaded potato cheese soup) had CRUNCHY potatoes and was runny as well. On top of the fact that I ordered a togo salad that was huge, and had no tomatoes BUT the cucumbers that was in it had something white on it, which was nasty. Not to mention, the fact that there wasn't a fork and I was shorted a dressing cup. I pad 17 dollars for food that I cannot stomach to eat. I also went through and got rolls that were cold within 3 minutes of pickup and driving back to where I was going. I am going to call in and I am going to complain because I NEVER EVER get this kind of service with the Columbia location
