Gold Rush

I had the enchiladas there Monday and they were sooooo good. I also love the weekend brunches. Great food and really good bloody mary's and margarita's for $4 at brunch. Try it sometime. A little smokey is my only complaint.
Been a regular since the 80's although it has changed ownership and had a facelift, there are still elements of the old days...a GREAT BAR! It also has a great menu, with their world famous (no Joke) Bean Roll, a must have and I recommend the chicken, but many like the beef just as much. If you like a bar that has a real cool dive feel, but isn't seedy...well this is your kind of place. Musicians from Motorhead to NRBQ or the Almond Bro's have frequented this bar. It is a Nashville Icon. I miss it so much it hurts.
the "dark side" is where it's at unless you're trendier then the "light side" is for you (i started calling each side this, not sure if it's standard practice). i just moved to boston and i miss my favorite bar, this one. the "light side," called such because it has more lighting offers music from the jukebox and a bar of it's own. the "dark side" is darker and offers, in terms of music, whatever patrick or don feels like playing for the most part and has its own bar. love this place. food is great. people are great. you're sure to run into someone you know. crowd is varied by age and music pref. just all-around great time. it has a "divey" feel but it's not dirty and the people are friendly. ohhhh how i miss you, gold rush, don, and patrick!!
The help I got was amazing! These people know what they are doing
