The lighted Cream City sign is a Cookeville icon and it's great to have a cozy shop right under this landmark. The ice cream is spectacular. The staff/owners are friendly and wonderful. I've never had an awesome coffee there, but it could be I'm far too particular. However, the atmosphere and the ice cream are what it's all about. And you can mosey across the street to enjoy your ice cream and explore the ever-present train at the depot.
I love Cream City! I live in Nashville and stop here every time I am passing through. The selection of treats is amazing which makes it hard to decide what to get sometimes. Luckily the friendly staff is great about offering a recommendations. The historic setting adds so much charm to this delightful place. I recommend that everyone passing through or if you live near go to Cream City. It is a delicious establishment with something for everyone.
I have been there 2 times. First time - chocolate- amazing.. Second time, blueberry cheesecake- amazing! They have the best ice cream I have had.
Great service and wonderful atmosphere! Personally, I prefer the little “mom & pop” style restaurants and ice cream parlors to the modern fast food chains; and Cream City is certainly worth the visit if you're ever in the Cookeville, TN, area.
