Paesano's Italian Restaurant
Reviews
Having lived in Naples, Italy, for over 3 years, the food here is very reminiscent of what I experienced over there. The veal piccata was delicious and the artichoke hearts are a nice addition to the dish. However, the lack of service brings my rating down for this visit. Once we were seated, it took over 10 minutes for our server to attend to us. Despite his apologies for our wait, which was very appreciated, it didn't get much better after that. After quickly taking our orders and filling our water glasses, we didn't see him again until our salads and rolls were served. At no time did he ask us what we wanted to drink nor offer a wine suggestion, so we only had water our entire meal. As much as I don't like my server hovering over me, I don't like being completely left unattended to except when courses are served. We asked twice to get additional rolls, but never received them. We never had any salt on the table nor received the shaker I asked for as I like a little addition salt on my pasta. When my coffee arrived with my dessert, it didn't come with any packs of sugar and I wasn't asked if I would like any sugar for my coffee. In summary, I'll return in the future as the food is worth giving them a second chance. Hopefully future service won't be as lacking as this experience.
From Pennsylvania and have been living here for several years, but OMG HOW DID WE NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS PLACE??? Best Italian food hands down! I had despaired of ever finding authentic, perfectly prepared food like this in the South and was thrilled to find Paesano's. Love everything about it and it will definitely be our go-to spot for dinner out!
The owner of Blue Ridge Music told me that he's from NYC and Paesano's has "the best Italian food outside of New York." He may well be right. Dining alone, I sat outside on a delightful early Friday evening. Pan-seared trout with side of spaghetti, satisfying salad and first-rate Merlot. On a whim, asked for spumoni and was surprised not only to find it not only delicious, but in a serving that would put many ice cream parlors to shame. My waiter was friendly and very attentive. He didn't merely serve food and beverage, we managed to "visit" a bit, making this newcomer to Seneca feel very welcome. Surely this will become a favorite restaurant as I settle into this charming area.
In the middle of nowhere, and you find this! Only dinner! Don't miss it if you live around the area or going through.
Amazing
