Pretty good overall. The pizza had a nice crust and a classic New York flavor. Chicken parm was okay. Real chicken, not excessively sauced. Marinara tasted homemade. The real gem was real, red, ripe tomatoes...in March! Better than another fast food meal for sure. Friendly, quick service. Decor was totally unremarkable.
This place needs to go on Kitchen Nightmares. Gordon Ramsay would have a field day with them! They have 1000 things on their menu, including random Greek food and some mystery item called "Chicken Delight." I ordered Shrimp Scampi. What I was served was mushy, water logged noodles the smell but not the taste of garlic and overcooked shrimp that seemed to be deep fried and then reheated in oil, which made the breading soggy and the shrimp rubbery. One bite made me gag. Even the complimentary bread basket, which you shouldn't be able to mess up, was horrible. Possibly stale. We ordered fried calamari and corn nuggets as appetizers, which were served with marinara dipping sauce. What a weird pairing. The decor is appalling, unless you're into carpeting that has been around for 30 years and a plethora of fake foliage. Our waitress was pleasant enough, although she seemed confused when I asked her to take my completely inedible meal off of our bill and then she never came back to the table. We should have gone to Pizza Hut, next door. That would have been a safer bet.
After reading good reviews I called and ordered 2 pizzas to pick up, since we would be driving through. The town did not look like anywhere I would ever stop for food, but hoped it would be a hidden gem, hole in the wall. Boy was I surprised. People actually think that is good food? The place was dirty, the "excellent decor" was pitiful and consisted of dirty peeling wallpaper. While I waited, I watched the waitress willingly get fondled by two different customers, the cook crammed food in his mouth while cooking, and many other poor food handling practices. I wasn't so sure I wanted to eat it, but was starving. I hobbled together a sandwich from our cooler for my daughter, so at least she wouldn't have to eat it. One pizza was made wrong, I am allergic to green peppers and it was smothered in them (even though I requested no peppers). And they both were dripping so much grease that we went through a roll of paper towel. Overall, gross experience.
Buffet is great. Pizza has tasty crust with multiple toppings available without a wait. Delicious chicken, meatballs, and really tasty pulled pork. Convenient to I95. Stop in if you are in the area!
We were traveling and stopped for dinner. Highly recommend. Great gyro and pizza. Our server was very attentive and pleasurable.
