Old Mill Brewpub
Reviews
Update: We met the Mom for her birthday lunch as well as two family friends on a Sunday afternoon. The first time we stopped into the Old Mill Brew Pub was a month or two after they first opened for business and it was the best experience from the food to the service. Our most recent visit was really good, from the hostess to our server they were both super nice. Our orders Antipasto Platter,Caesar Salad,Fried Green Tomatoes,Crab Cakes, Fried Fish and Shrimp platter,Shrimp Basket, and Blackened Chicken Alfredo.... Everyone had a Creme Brulee for dessert and loved it,I do not know if its made in house or purchased off a sysco truck but it was really good and I will definitely order again!! We did not partake in any of the house brews, but its great to see that they have it all setup now and making in house beer. Previous Review..... Restaurants do not seem to last very long at this location for whatever reason. The latest is Old Mill Brew Pub and our recent experience here was also just average. Fried green tomatoes were ok,a burger with sweet potato fries, just ok. Cup of dead guy gumbo was ok but lacking in the meat dept. A burger with sweet potato fries was average. The shrimp po boy was served on the worst bread I have ever came across for a poboy,it was tough as shoe leather and split on both sides allowing for all the filling to fall out on the first bite. I ended up just eating the shrimp and leaving the bagel style roll for the doggie bag. The shrimp were small but the breading was tasty and the remoulade added a nice kick. My poboy also ended up on the table without the lettuce tomato and onion that is advertised on the menu,in our servers defense I did tell her no tomato ;-) Nice atmosphere, was able to watch some of the NC game on the large telly on the wall.
Just had a great chilli, topped with jalapenos, grated cheese and sour cream, washed down with some Guinness. Great atmosphere and nice views.
Fun and relaxed place. They have a great IPA. I will definitely be back.
