we are tired of food removed from the freezer to frier and served when eating out in Johnstown. Very few places in Johnstown area make fresh food daily from scratch or make it after it is ordered. This place makes the food fresh after you order it. Food tastes great. Quality of food served is excellent. Service is superb. They have good excellent varieties of beer which are constantly rotated. Recently we have been to their wine tasting Party. It is excellent. Jeremy and Jennifer do a great job and the price is very reasonable. I am sure this place would be packed and have people waiting in line if it was in Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Washington DC or New York. We are lucky to have the Press Bistro here in Johnstown. This may start a new Era of eating out here in town with more similar places who serve cooked from scratch or cook to order food.
I will NEVER eat here again. This place gave me food poisoning! When calling the restaurant to speak w/ a supervisor to let them know I had food poisoning from them, the supervisor didnt care at all. He said thank you & hung up. Very rude. How horrible to make someone so ill & then not care at all, not even an I'm sorry. Pathetic excuse for a restaurant, pathetic excuse for servers/supervisors. EAT HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!
I stopped in for lunch on the go . The place is not only visually pleasing when you walk in but the staff is friendly and welcoming as well .I wish I would have been able to stay for my meal. I ordered a salad and soup and I highly recommend the food. Their Chef works lovely flavor combinations in the soup and the greens were fresh and crisp. PRESS is 1 of Johnstown's gems!
