The Wooden Indian Tavern has been a local favorite for a long time. The establishment is pretty clean and well kept. Food is bar food, but very good for this category of dining. The burgers are well prepared and a comparatively wide variety of other appetizers round out the menu. The bar is well stocked, offering several varieties on tap and many others by the bottle – all at very reasonable prices compared to big city joints. There is a jukebox, pool tables, electronic dart boards, and plenty of seating space. Local DJs frequently spin their mixes on various nights – I suggest calling ahead if interested in the night life schedule. A patriotic owner provides dinner to the local voting poll on Election Days and she can be met at the local church on Sunday. There is obvious pride in this little establishment! I hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
