We stumbled upon this restaurant while looking for our hotel. There is a sheep farm right across the way, and the restaurant's speciality is lamb (though they have many more options--including a dairy with ice cream). Being a vegetarian, I ordered the Feta Pita, which was delicious! They also have a little shop where you can buy authentic sheep's wool and sheepskins. I wish they were closer! Give them a try!
These is a very nice little place they have ice cream and the food is over the top and the atmosphere is great the county setting with the sheep and farm setting is beautiful if you can just stop you will feel like you are at home everyone is very nice I could go on and on you just have to stop you will love it.
If you like lamb, you'll love Shepherds. The lamb is as local as it gets, right across the road. Actually you feel a little sheepish, no pun intended, eating lamb while the sheep across the road are causally grazing the pastures and glancing up from time to time. Avoid eye contact by sitting on the opposite side of the room where the windows look out over the Casselman River Valley with Fort Hill on the opposite side. The menu is full of lamb dishes. I love the lamb gyro pita! Fresh cuts of lamb are also available.
