Eaten here several times - never stayed at the B&B. Nice selection on the menu. I've always been pleased with the meals, the service, and the view. River's Edge fills a void in the dining category - there isn't any competition for this type of "fancy" food in the area. It's a lovely date night place, but also very accommodating to those with young kids. Plenty to choose from for those with picky tastes. I've had two or three of the pastas as well as the trout - enjoyed it all but loved the pasta. It is a fun place to eat - whether you sit inside or outside. Worth a stop for a satisfying, leisurely meal. Call ahead - they get very busy on summer evenings!
River's Edge Cafe is the best, and only, mid-scale restaurant in Confluence. It has a good, diverse menu, great atmosphere both indoors or on the porch overlooking the Youghiogheny River. Easy access from the Great Allegheny Passage from the bike/pedestrian bridge over the Youghiogheny at Mile Marker 61.8. Weekends in the early spring, more days in the late spring and into the summer.
