Cousins' Country Inn

The staff was so friendly and welcoming. Truly made you feel like family. They even stayed open late for us so we could enjoy our meal. The food was amazing!! Home made and cooked to perfection. I had a homemade biscuit that was one of the best I have ever had. One should experience the heaven that is their coconut creme pie. A Must have!! All of the deserts look amazing and cooked right there in the restaurant in their own bakery. Very clean comfortable homey atmosphere. Seriously you feel like you are at a very dear cousins house. Loved all the farm animals and the train overhead. Great little gift shop also. God bless you Peggy Sue!! It was such a blessing meeting and visiting with you. You my dear lady are an Angel♡ We will be back as soon as possible and can't wait to stay in the barn!!

They welcome you with, "Hi Cousin" and make you feel like family. Very comfortable beds, organic soap, shampoo & lotion, huge towels a keurig coffee maker, amazing AC. The shower had GREAT water pressure. The room was not fancy but very clean, nice and comfy. Did I mention the free homemade chocolate chip cookies in the lobby by the coffee? Our family of four ate 3 meals in the restaurant (Breakfast, lunch and dinner) and of 12 meals only found one a little bland/odd (biscuits and gravy) the rest was fabulous! Huge homemade cinnamon rolls - yummy...in fact homemade sausage, pies, biscuits and much more. Great atmosphere with old John Deere tractors and farm animals (fake) that the kids - 16 & 19 yr old, climbed on for photos. Friendly staff. The pool was small and out of the way but we had a good time anyhow. We would definitely stay there again.

This hotel had the friendliest staff I have ever met. The rooms were clean and spacious. The pool was a little small as was the hot tub. Overall, this is an awesome place to stay. Highly recommend!

Wanting to get out of town for just a couple days before our wedding, we decided to head to The Dalles for some sunshine and maybe a bit of hiking. We found Cousin's Country Inn online and the price was great and the location perfect for what we needed so we booked one of their small queen rooms (room 216). When we arrived, check in was quick and painless and we headed to our room. I'll admit it, I wasn't expecting much because of the price we paid. To our surprise, we found what I will have to call the cleanest hotel room we have ever stayed in. The shower floor was spic and span, and we could not find even a single hair on the bed (yes, we looked, as we do everytime we stay somewhere). The pillows were nice and fluffy and there were plenty of them. In the shower, instead of the battery-acid, burn-your-scalp-for-days type soaps and shampoos we normally find in hotels, we found all organic products and plenty of towels. Our room also had a half sized fridge, a microwave and a Keurig coffeepot, as well as tea options. For dinner, we ate at the restaurant, which despite being a home-cooking establishment had a surprisingly large number of gluten-free items (very important to us). Food was great, and the price was very reasonable. We also liked the train that moves through the hallway and bar on a wooden track near the ceiling, as well as the small area where one could buy goofy gifts for friends and family. Overall, an outstanding experience. Will we tell all our friends, and will we return? Yes, and yes! Other hotels should take note: the folks at Cousin's Country Inn are doing it right.
