Cioppino is amazing. I'm clinically addicted to this stuff.
You simply cannot get a bad meal. We loved it enough to go back the next day. Every time I'm in Newport, this will be my dinner spot.
We were in Newport for a couple days and went out at night for a nice dinner. We went to someplace just down the road first, the restaurant had just closed (6pm!) but the bar was open, they were serving food. After we ordered, they came back 10 minutes later and said they didn't have what we wanted. So we paid for our drinks and left. After walking up and down the street, we came across Sharks, we looked at the menu and went in. What an awesome decision! We were immediately greeted at the door, and sat. Food was beyond spectacular! drinks were phenomenal. But the service is what made the experience. When we are back in Newport again, we'll be there!
My cousin and I were in Oregon on a mini vacation. We really wanted crab and every other restaruant had at least a 1 hour wait. We found this one and we will definitely be back! Not only was the food absolutely delicious (we had the dungeoness crab with an oyster appetizer, yummy!) the service was fantastic. A very upbeat place, the husband and wife are super friendly and should be proud of their small town business. Will recommend to anybody we talk to, and they have gained a customer for life! Also, it's great that they steam their food! Every other restaurant seems to want to migrate into frying everything and having a breaded coating on it. With a wheat allergy, it was great that I didn't have to worry about that here!
The salmon and bouillabaisse were outstanding. Perfect location. Quaint. Service was wonderful. Definitely a hidden gem of Newport, Oregon!
