North Dallas Bar & Grill

We were looking forward to having an experience that was better than the one we had three years ago when we moved to town. We were sorely disappointed. The food was expensive and extremely low quality. It was apparent that most of it came out of a freezer bag and into the fryer. The crispy chicken salad consisted of ice berg lettuce and shredded carrots and purple cabbage like the bagged salads at the grocery store. The chicken was like pop corn chicken from kfc, except it cost $12. I ordered the special which was described as a burger with mushrooms and chedder. I wasn't told that the meat was mixed with garlic filled sausage and covered with garlic sauce. I spent the night in agony with stomach cramps. Even the kids complained about the food and left their meals unfinished. The service was terrible. We watched the tables around us being serviced every few minutes while we waited ten minutes between one persons food and mine. Our server was mostly absent and seemed annoyed that she had to come out to serve us. In the end I spoke to manager who, rather than listening, gave me a string of excuses. Some of the food was taken off the bill, which was still outrageously high. I would be happy to pay such high prices if the food was worth it. This was luxury food prices for fast food quality. Too bad as there just aren't that many choices in town. You had the opportunity to bring something great to town, but you blew it. We will not be taking the chance here ever again.
A recent remodel looks nice, feels comfy, and provides pletty of tvs. I sat at the bar and found the service to be friendly. Ordered the ruben and it was tasty.
Been to this place 4 times, since there are few options for restaurants in Dallas. Food is average at best. Bar servers are slow and are more worried about serving their friends and the local clientele. Last time in this place it took 15 minutes to get a menu and drink order in and there were 2 servers and 2 bartenders with only about 6 tables of customers (we had to go to the bar and ask if we could have a menu and a waitress). I don't recommend this place unless you just want a beer and are willing to sit at the bar.
Wait to be served : 43 minutes. O'Brien potatoes came burned. Cold coffee. What waste of my money and time. Perhaps they just should keep the bar and forget about food. Oh wait: They probably is going to mess up with the drinks too.
Food was terrible McDonald's can make a better cheese burger for a dollar
