Food is great but soooo many flies. I mean bring a fly swatter your going to need it.
the best beef in oklahoma. the burgers are awesome and the steaks are to die for. the buffet on sunday is wonderful as well.
I am surprised to read these reviews. We were also first time visitors with a Groupon. We felt they went above and beyond to make our experience there amazing. Our food was cooked perfectly from the steaks, cabbage rolls, tabouli, the stuffed mushrooms were to die for. We enjoyed the staff so much that we actually sat up at the bar after we ate dinner and had a drink since it was close to closing time they were all pretty much done with their cleaning and were talking to us. They offered to turn on the jukebox if we wanted to stay and have another drink. The servers were all very nice.. And the manager was just as friendly. It is a long drive for us but it is so worth it and we will be coming back as often as we can for anniversaries, birthdays, any occasion that we can justify spending a little extra $. Thank you to everyone at Freddies!
We too had problems with this business honoring groupon, actually they didn't! We showed up before groupon expired and were told they had run out of food!! We asked if they would honor the groupon at a later date to which they said yes. When we tried to do just that we were told we were able to order an appetizer but not the same meal, as promised. Several attempts to contact the manager/owner were fruitless. This business seems to not really care about satisfying it's customers, with the possible exception of it's quality of food it serves to which I can't comment on as we never went back there. I like the other family owned businesses assoc. with this one (Freddie's in sapulpa, Jamil's in Tulsa ) but the way this one is run and the way first time customers are treated would tell me that this is one place to steer clear of. I found the people we dealt with rude and incompetant. I WOULD NOT RECCOMEND THIS RESTAURANT AND I RATE IT ZERO START ( save yourself the trouble, drive 20 extra minutes to Sapulpa or Tulsa and give your business to people who work for it and actually APPRECIATE it!!!!)
They hate customers. Service was absolutely horrendous! I have never been treated so terribly, particularly as a polite and paying customer. I paid $26 for a groupon for 2 steak dinners. Since it was a day after its expiration we called to ask if we could still use it. (Assuming, duh, what company wouldn't honor money we have already paid them, so soon after its expiration) At first we were told no, we could only use it for a free appetizer. Then, after talking with the manager she agreed to let us use it. So, we proceeded to drive out to Mannford from Tulsa, which is not a short drive by any means. When we get there, the waitress takes our order, said something about us being able to use our groupon for anything of equal value, and we ordered our steaks. Everything was delicious, she was nice and fine, and we quite enjoyed our meal. We were considering becoming regulars, and telling all our friends about our great new find. Come to find out, the manager had changed her mind about letting us use our groupon, deciding instead that we could only use the $26 of value. AKA, no discount at all. This would be one thing if we had been told this before driving all the way out to Mannford. And another if it had been sufficiently explained before we had eaten our entire meals. Annoying, bad customer service, and an excellent way to ostracize new customers and all their friends. But part of the agreed terms of our groupon. But for her to tell us one thing, and then completely go back on her word and lie to customers who have already PAID for service.... By this time, the manager had left for the night, and our waitress was at a loss. Another waitress came out, overheard what was happening, and proceeded to snip at us with a great deal of pushiness and attitude. After a while, Miss Snippy came out, and told us that, hey, if we didn't pay for our meal (which we had NOT insinuated doing) she would just call the cops on us. Apparently, she went and did just that, because 5 minutes later, two troopers come and talk with the manager on the phone, and inform us that we have to pay and take any qualms up in civil small claims court. Called the COPS on us! I couldn't believe it! What kind of restaurant really hates customers that much?? Restaurants comp meals at much annoyance that we had experienced! What a total failure this company is at attracting repeat customers. Apparently they don't understand word of mouth.
