Max & Erma's Restaurant
Reviews
While I have loved other Max & Erma's this one is a must avoid. Food is mediocre at best. A blind man could cook and plate better. Typical of many chain restaurants that open in Findlay...they are never as good as the other locations in the chain.
I am generally a fan of this restaurant. But last night it was HORRIBLE. I was there last Weds (free cookie Weds) and they were out of the bottled beer I wanted. Went last night and ordered the same beer......the waitress, Emma, returned to say they were out of it! I asked her how they could STILL be out of Corona. She had no idea. But I wondered why she wasn't given this info before taking ANY orders!! We ordered pretzels with the beer cheese dipping sauce....only to get the queso and NO beer cheese....the waitress, when we finally found her, went to get us some. However the manager arrived with it and said it was going away soon. I asked why. She said the Beer Cheese Fries weren't selling well. I asked 'what does that have to do with using it as a dipping sauce for the pretzels?' No good answer! Then my daughter ordered her hamburger Med-Well and it arrived bloody throughout. Only the edges were cooked. Took forever for them to bring her another and they still charged her for it!! (you'd think they would have removed it from the bill or at least only charge half price!!) I asked about half way thru the meal for a 2nd beer (NOT my first choice of beer but a good 2nd choice) only to wonder where the heck it was. When I asked Emma about it, she acted as if she had no idea......took quite awhile to get it. I must say I was VERY disappointed in Max & Erma's last night and it is no longer a favorite stop.....free cookie Weds or not!!!
EVERYTIME we order carry out from this place our order is wrong. And today the cashier had an attitude. It really sucks because we like Max & Ermas, but this location doesn't do the chain any justice. If I order a cheeseburger, I expect cheese on it. If I order a bowl of your tortilla soup I'd like there to be more than the cup of soup my friend ordered. There is no consistency, well there is but the only thing consistent is the order is wrong.
This franchise is not nearly as good as the one I went to in Columbus. The food isn't terrible, it's just that the servings compared to the price are not what they should be. You pay good, and get very little.
This place is terrible! The food is disgusting!
