Cactus Grill & Cantina

Solid menu, good prices, and a nice atmosphere ( even if it is a little loud) this place is always fun to eat at.
Terrible service. Staff very poorly trained. Shrimp that was not de-veined (read: intestines still attached). Quesadilla inedible due to extreme amounts of garlic. Had to send it back. Charged the wrong amount for drinks (they were on special that night) and the manager argued with us about it and did nothing to resolve the issue. Eventually he just walked away and stopped talking to us. Bathrooms disgusting. Have heard from friends who work in the kitchen that it's absolutely filthy. Never going back.
Today, my experience was disappointing. My mother had asked to have a kid's sized portion of the quesadilla as she has had a medical procedure that only allows her to consume
Great food and, according to my dining companions, great drinks. I didn't know about the Cactus Grill until a professor in one of my grad classes moved our classroom to what is now my favorite Mexican restaurant. The food is delicious from the complimentary chips and salsa, to the chile con queso, and the fajitas. I would like to give a special shout-out to the shrimp quesadillas which are fantastic. The service was quick and friendly. The only negative side is the atmosphere; there is a section of wall that is heavily damaged and some of the wiring can be seen colored to match the murals on the walls. However, this did not distract me from a great dining experience.
Always a good meal. Leave with a "doggy" bag because you get so much. Chips and salsa is amazing. Drinks are not extremely expensive. Great/fun atmosphere.
