not bad, but go to Dina's. better food better service. idk how this place is still open lol
The food was good but this place is way over priced for the portion given. Everyone in our party of four went home hungry. Our waitress was excellent and was very knowledgeable. On the other hand, the busyboy (girl) was in our way while we were trying to eat. I appreciate my empty dishes being removed from the table but not when you have to reach over my plate while I'm eating. Extremely bad manners!
This place seemed nice at first, we were expecting a quality meal.. given the prices and fancy menu. My girlfriend and I both ordered pasta dishes. Her dish was the vegetarian pasta and was saturated with cream. not much flavour. just cream. My dish was the Spanish mussels. Complete with bolegnese sauce, this sauce was not mentioned in the menu, I wouldn't have expected mussels and ground beef. Horrible combination. extremely small portions for the price. About a half cup of linguine. Aside from the food quality, we were expecting a nice causal wait for our meals and to our surprise, the food was ready and out in about 2 minutes. suspicious? possibly
With so many other great choices on the menu, I always struggle with not choosing the bouillabaisse as it's the best. Luckily my wife and I share so at least one of us orders it.
The Silver Fox is a family favorite with its cozy atmosphere, excellent martinis, friendlyh service and extensive menu! There is something for everyone not only on their menu but also on their Specials list. The Cab Calloway- must have! Definitely visit this hidden jewel the next time you stop down to Ellicottville!
