Please read before eating here! It didn't start out bad, we were seated almost right away with a big group of 16. We came on an off- peak hour, as most of a lunch rush was leaving or already eaten. Our waitress was kind of slow, but got the job done. After ordering we waited about 45 minutes till we wondered where our food was. We questioned our waitress and she told us about 10 minutes. We waited another 20 minutes till about 6 out of 16 plates arrived. It take almost another 20 minutes for all but one more plate to come out. The last plate we had to request, as it wasn't even started (This was just a bacon cheeseburger). So after waited almost 1 1/2 hours for ALL of food, we weren't very happy. The food wasn't great. Bad cheese steak, and under cooked fries (How does one under cook french fries?). While eating we witnessed a screaming match between employees in the dining room. After politely confronting the manager about the bill and compensation he said he took care of it. It took another 20 minutes after plates had been cleared to the checks arrived. He took about 25- 30% off (Not as much as we were hoping). When we went up to pay the manager, who at first was patient, become very short and rude with us. Over all we thought this place was a disgrace. We were extremely mad that there was very little communication about the delay in our meal, and the fact that the food was nothing exceptional. The only excuse we were given was that there was only one man in the kitchen. How do you ever have only one man in a kitchen for a restaurant of that size!?! NEVER EAT HERE
Don't waste your time. We set out to have a nice simple lunch and wound up spending 2 and a half hours here. We had a group of 16, but they told us they could take us. We were seated almost right away after we arrived. Our waitress was slow from the start, but not awful. Getting drinks refilled took a long time. They served baskets of chips as we were waiting for our food and once they were emptied they were never refilled. After about 45 minutes of waiting for food we started to ask about it and we were told they were "putting it together" About another 10 minutes after that the manager came out and told us it would be another 10-15 minutes. Food was brought out randomly and some people were finished before other people at our table got their food. They admitted that they completely forgot about one of our orders and that they had just started it when we asked where it was. There was no communication that they were swamped or running behind and that it would be a little while longer until we asked about our food, and even then they didn't try to be accommodating and refill drinks or chips. Some members of the party got up and walked out to the porch as we were waiting and a member of the staff out there was telling a member of the staff inside over a walkie talkie that we were complaining amongst ourselves about the service. The food was not good either. French fries were undercooked. The cheesesteak was bad. As we were waiting for our food we witnessed a screaming match between members of the staff in the main bar area. It took far too long for our checks to arrive and they only took off 25-30 percent for our inconvenience, because we had asked for that. As we were paying the staff began to get short with us and was not at all apologetic. Definitely never going back and don't waste your time here either. Extremely unprofessional atmosphere and the food wasn't good. Also note that even though the word "bar" is in the name, when we were there they had a sign posted that they cannot serve any alcohol..
Great bar but no a good place to eat. Slow service and the only thing we ever liked are the large sweet carrots that come with most dinners. Don't order any fish. It's all breading.
Good place to stop in during your ride (motorcycle). Only thing that should be noted. There is little to no cell phone service, you're up in the mountains. so if you HAVE TO make a call your S.O.L.
We stopped here on our motorcycles because it seemed to be the motorcycle spot in town. The view is great, being right next to the Delaware river. Service was fine. The waitress was pleasant and attentive. The outside dining feels very picnic-y. The tables are bare wood and have critters crawling over it and next to my food. The spring salad with grilled chicken I ordered was fine enough except the chicken was bland and unseasoned. The coffee is your typical diner flavor.
