The ale was excellent, but the food left a lot to be desired. Its a small menu. I had a burger, had no flavor, for 12 dollars I expected much more.I have had much better black angus burgers elsewhere for less money. My wife had the seafood over the waffle,I tasted it,and I have to say, this was worse than the burger. The waffle was so dry and they give you hardly any seafood. The wings we had for an appetizer were the best part of the whole meal. Wont be back, sorry!!!!
great beer, good food, wish there were more specials is all! Localvore's delight!
We're locals (one town south in Catskill) and frequent habitues. The beers are phenomenal and the grub exceptionally good. Come hungry! Ambience is great too - the remodel honors the original architecture while spiffing it up and making it both comfortable & functional. The dining room CAN get a bit loud - when it's hoppin', as it often is, it's not a place you wanna try to hold a conversation. But the party atmosphere is as infectious as the brews are addictive. The Outrage IPA is our favorite.
Had a pint of there Fresh hop Black IPA and grabbed 3 other growlers. Beers are some of the top offerings in NY and even on the east cost. Didn't have time to eat but will have to make more time next trip. Also a great little forgotten town. Look forward to my next visit.
My favorite brewpub in the state. The food is delicious: a slightly higher-brow take on typical bar fare. Many of the year round beer offerings, including the outrage IPA are simply great. And there's a regular rotating cast of season and experimental brews.
