I love this place. It's low-key and casual. The way the booths are arranged you get your own private space and can hear the people across the table without them having to shout. The food is out of this world. My personal favorites - the chili, the bread and cheese board, the Shepherd's Pie, the Macaroni and Cheese and of course the house salad. I don't drink beer so I can't address the drinks. The desserts are incredible - carrot cake is my favorite. And their specials are also wonderful - had the Peachy Keen Swordfish tonight and it was to die for. Wait staff is always attentive without being obtrusive. I'm glad they're only a 20 minute drive away.
The crab cake sandwich is absolutely delightful! I get it every I go!!!
Great place, close to lake Sunapee. I've been here twice and both times a positive experience. Decent beer selection, rustic decor, and responsive service. A lot of the menu is burgers and sandwiches but i recommend the "heartier fare". For dessert, the bread pudding of the day had Captain Morgan in it and was delicious.
Delicious nachos and good burgers. We were lucky to find this place because you could just miss it driving by. Service was good, atmosphere was great. I would love to go to this place again.
Holy Cow...what a food gem off the beaten path. Excellent food. I have never thought of ordering mac n cheese. Well they have the best I have ever tried ever!!! The homemade root beer is excellent. The decor is very rustic and old world tavern feeling.
