Millstone Restaurant

This is one of my Mom's favorite restaurants in Town. I especially like how they have specials for Mother's day, Father's Day, Easter Dinners, etc. ... And they have Sunday brunches, too, which are reasonably priced, and tasty. One issue here is with quantity size, which is moderate to low. The quality though, is reasonably high... and if they could pick up their quantity (amount of food on an entree), they would make it to 5 star. Owners and chefs here have rotated over the last 20 years, but as it has a favorable location, and reasonable facilities, it has always served good food. If anything, I would say that ... over the 20 years I have been here, the food has been edging up slightly. Another plus is that it has generally very good wines, and probably the best in town, even beating the bluster of King's Hill Kitchen. The prices additionally are excellent, as compared to some other restaurants. I would like to rank it 5 stars, as my overall experience has always been very satisfactory, and we have gone home generally delighted. Yet, the entrees do not have the power of La Meridiana, nor quite the delicacy of the old Colonial Farm Inn (in the 1990s - 2000s) or of The New London Inn and Coach House restaurant. The wait staff is very pleasant. They could move to 5; we'll see.
Great food & service, have a great menu & bar. Weekly specials a great atmosphere and the owner is always there to welcome you in.
Perhaps we just caught them on a bad night, but the burgers we ordered "medium" were virtually raw and had to be sent back. Unfortunately, this took 15 minutes longer than it should have because our server was nowhere to be found. Given the prices (most plates were in the $20+ range, burgers were $11) I expected much more.
