I use to go here to watch bands play but stopped because the employees are so rude and the owner has a real attitude problem. The place looks nice but not a good venue. It echoes too much and there is no sound insulation. I can't hear the bartenders when i'm ordering a drink and I've actually had them give me the wrong drink due to the loud echoing of the music. They don't know if they want to be a sports bar, art gallery, or a venue. They lack in all areas. They should stick to an art gallery high end bar. Not a venue.

The Calico Room is a hip little upscale bar and art gallery. There is live music every night of the week, provided by the best local musicians in town. Experience live acoustic jazz piano every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Original art is displayed through out the venue. Comfortable lounge seating as well as a full traditional bar. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable in mixing exotic drinks. Wifi and open air cafe tables out front. Located in the heart of the historic district, look for the sign with the calico cat...; )
I had a serious problem when I was last at the Calico while vacationing, but as soon as it was brought to the attention of the owner, prompt and appropriate corrective action was taken. This bar has great potential and excellent decor; my issues can be chalked up to poor personnel on the night in question- I would give it another shot.
