I was passing through Wilmington early (6:25) in the morning and spied the Mermaid at 1005 International Drive. Ordered a Cappo and sat down to do some research. For the next hour, Deb and Julia treated me like I was their neighbor. Checking up on me with their wonderful smiles, courteous demeanor and Sun-Filled energy. Seriously, at Starbucks, who does this? Anyway, THEY were awesome, the food was fresh, and the Cappo excellent (plus a little sampler Deb dropped off at my table). Thanks Ladies for the memory.
Love the staff and the atmosphere! I love that they always know what drink I will be having. :) I highly recommend this location!
To ohio girl, there is no starbucks in barnes and noble. They just bought the recipes, notice that it dosent say starbucks on the cup or in the store, also u cant use a starbucks card there. You also need to learn how to proofread before you post. Give the baristas a break, think about how many orders they do daily and how much crap they have to deal with daily. They do a great job, and will correct any order that is wrong.
Had to repeat my order to the Barista 3x and she was still getting it wrong. Then she began to lecture me on not knowing how to order. I guess she didn't know that ICED meant cold. When I corrected her, she copped an attitude with me. I can't believe I paid for that "service"! I recommend everyone go to the Starbucks Cafe in Barnes & Noble if they want to be treated like a customer. I won't be back & I work in the same center!
Despite the price of a cup of Starbucks coffee, it is a good product. Some other reviewer needs to give the folks behind the counter a break. They do their best to get orders right, and everyone makes mistakes. If your order is complicated, expect to have to give it more than once and expect an occasional mistake. They will fix it if you ask. If a botched coffee order ruins your day, you need to find a hobby.
