This place is anti military and the owner is a complete idiot. I was at the bar and asked the guy behind the bar for a beer. It just so happens the guy was the owner. He got his feelings hurt and told me he wasn't the bartender. I told him I was sorry and asked someone else for a beer. When I threw my debit card down to pay the owner told me to pick up my card and hand it to the bartender. I refused and was immediately rushed by like three bouncers while the owner threw my card back in my face. The owner relies on his bouncers as some sort of nazi army to command around for no reason. The place is a joke anyway. There are much better places in Wilmington. Steer clear of this one.
Cпутник-1 (Sputnik-1) was the first man-made satellite put into orbit and ultimately ignited the space race between Russia and the United States. Like the satellite, this bar is a pioneer of sorts because every nightclub has since been trying to catch up to it. The design is just incredible: LED tables, lasers, and an actual scale version of the satellite slowly spins above the main bar! The DJ booth is impressive and has an adjacent VIP section. All table tops light up and change colors while a hot cocktail waitress comes and serves you drinks! Great place for special event parties because they offer multiple types of champagne and an extensive liquor bottle service.
Every weekend at this STELLAR nightclub is filled with great people, awesome cocktails, great service, and a whomping 30,000 watt sound system with a fantastic assembly of lights to make this wilmington's number one night club.
I guess Pravda and Sputnik are Russian brothers, this upstairs club is just as rockin as the one downstairs. Bigger dancefloor, awesome view from the 4th floor, super cool light up tables that change colors. Awesome music and lights and lazers. People dancing like crazy!
I think I get to work at SPUTNIK INTERSTELLAR COSMOLOUNGE this coming Friday Night...Pravda Wilmington is my LOVE and where I look forward to being every week...but wiith the BUZZ about this place,who wouldn't LOVE a chance to experience the madness, the drink specials and the BEST DJ and music in WILMINGTON!!! COME SEE ME (US)!!!!
